§ 34.64  MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY FUND (MVH FUND).
   (A)   These funds shall be used for;
      (1)   Construction and reconstruction of streets, alleys, and curbs.
      (2)   Repair and maintenance of streets, alleys, and curbs.
      (3)   Oiling, sprinkling, snow removal, weed and tree cutting and cleaning streets.
      (4)   Purchase or lease of highway construction and maintenance equipment.
      (5)   Purchase, erection and maintenance of traffic signs and signals, and safety zones and devices.
      (6)   Painting of structures, objects, surfaces in highways for the purpose of safety and traffic regulations.
      (7)   Law enforcement purposes subject to the following limitations: for a town less than 5,000 people no more than 15% may be spent for law enforcement purposes.
      (8)   Payment of principal and interest on bonds sold primarily to finance road and street projects.
   (B)   Expenditures of motor vehicle highway distributions must have been budgeted and appropriated in the same manner as required of general property revenues.
