(A) The provisions of this traffic code shall apply to the driver of any vehicle owned by, or used in the service of, the United States Government, and any state, county, municipal, or other governmental unit or agency, as well as to other vehicles; it shall be unlawful for any such driver to violate any of the provisions of this traffic code, except as otherwise permitted in this chapter or by state law.
(B) This traffic code shall not apply to the military forces of the United States and organizations of the National Guard when performing military duty.
