Commissioners shall be compensated at the rate of $12,300 per year and the Mayor shall be compensated at the rate of $16,000 per year, to be increased annually on December 1, based on the annual change in the February Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the Miami-Fort Lauderdale area. The Mayor and Commissioners shall receive reimbursement in accordance with applicable law, or as may be otherwise provided by ordinance, for authorized travel and per diem expenses incurred in the performance of their official duties.
