111.25(A)(1) Where a property owner with an existing water meter desires to change the meter size, the property owner shall be responsible for the following:
111.25(A)(1)(a) The property owner shall submit to the
a letter prepared by and bearing the seal of a Florida licensed Professional Engineer or a Florida Registered Architect showing the calculations that the requested meter size is sufficient to supply water to the property or portion thereof in the quantities and at the pressures required under the
. The calculations and the requested change submitted by the property owner shall be subject to review by and approval of the
.
111.25(A)(1)(b) Where the requested change is for a larger meter size, the property owner shall provide to the
evidence that the property currently has sufficient Equivalent Rate Connections ("ERCs") to accommodate the requested change. If there is not sufficient ERCs available to accommodate the requested change, the property owner shall be responsible for purchasing sufficient additional ERCs, if available, to accommodate the requested change at the current ERC rate prior to the request being approved. If sufficient ERCs are not available for the property to accommodate the requested change, the request shall be denied.
111.25(A)(1)(c) Where the requested change is for a smaller meter size, the property owner shall not be entitled to any credit or refund based upon the reduction of use of previously paid for ERCs, and the property owner shall not be entitled to reverting to the displaced meter size without complying with subsection 111.25(A)(1)(b).
111.25(A)(1)(d) Where the requested change is for the consolidation of two or more meters, if the capacity increases the property owner shall comply with subsection 111.25(A)(1)(b), if the capacity decreases the property owner shall comply with subsection 111.25(A)(1)(c).
111.25(A)(1)(e) The property owner shall be responsible for all fees and costs associated with the requested change, and shall also pay an engineering review fee as set forth by a resolution of the
.

Changes in water meter sizes are under the jurisdiction of the City of Sunrise and are subject to the City of Sunrise Code of Ordinances, policies and procedures.
