9-3-4: MINOR REPAIRS:

Repairs that involve only the replacement of defective electrical outlets, fixtures, appliances, switches, etc., may be made without a permit, provided no changes or modifications are made in the basic wiring system; and further provided that the cost for such repairs does not exceed five hundred dollars ($500.00).
