All fees as are required shall be paid at City Hall, which shall keep a complete and accurate record of fees received and shall forthwith deposit them to the credit of the General Revenue Fund. The City Inspector shall file with the City Clerk a written report of the amounts and sources of the fees. The resulting funds shall be used to pay the costs of issuing permits and the expense incurred by the City in carrying out the inspection, regulation and supervision required by this Code. There shall be no fees charged to the United States Government, the State, or any political subdivision thereof. (1975 Code § 9-2-16; amd. 1998 Code)
