On January 1 of each year, the Director of Finance is authorized and directed to pay to the Fire Chief and the Assistant Fire Chief a clothing allowance equal to the amount any other member of the Department receives through their Collective Bargaining Agreement.

In the event that any item of uniform is lost or destroyed while the owner thereof is performing his duty and through no negligence or fault on his part, Council may, by resolution, provide for the payment to him of such sum as in Council's opinion will compensate him for the value thereof.
