(a) The position of Assistant Director of Engineering is hereby established. The Assistant Director shall perform such duties as are prescribed for them by the Mayor or Director of Engineering. In addition, the Assistant Director of Engineering shall perform the following duties:
(1) In the absence of the Director, they shall perform any and all duties required to be performed by the Director by virtue of any law or ordinance applicable and effective within the City.
(2) Review plans and specifications for new and existing City capital, residential, commercial and industrial construction for compliance with all applicable ordinances, standards and policies of the City.
(3) Shall design storm sewers, sanitary sewers, structures, roadways and other municipal improvements.
(4) Manage professional service contracts.
(5) Perform project management, field investigations and inspections.
(b) The Assistant Director of Engineering shall be a licensed professional engineer in the State of Ohio. (Ord. 2023-93. Passed 12-7-23.)
