As used in this chapter:
(a) “Magistrate” is an attorney in good standing with the Supreme Court of Ohio who conducts Juvenile Diversion hearings for the City of Westlake.
(b) “Youth Commissioner” is a person who serves alongside the Magistrate at Juvenile Diversion hearings.
(c) “Advisory Officer” is a City of Westlake police officer, appointed to the Advisory Officer position by the Chief of Police and serving at the pleasure of the Chief of Police, who shall refer alleged offenses to the Juvenile Diversion Commission and shall attend Commission meetings.
(d) “Youth Coordinator” is an employee of the City of Westlake who shall coordinate activities associated with the Juvenile Diversion Commission.
(e) “Juvenile” is a person under the age of eighteen (18) at the time of the alleged offense, against whom potential juvenile charges are pending, and the alleged offense has been approved to be handled through the Juvenile Diversion Program.
