1321.06 OTHER REQUIREMENTS FOR REGISTERING.
   Prior to registration, the Director of Inspections shall require an applicant (subcontractor or general contractor) to furnish the following:
   (a)    A registration bond approved as to form by the Director of Law shall be from a company acceptable to the Director and shall be in the sum of ten thousand dollars ($10,000).
   (b)    Certificate of insurance for general liability for bodily injury and property damage, minimum amounts of three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000).
   (c)    Copy of Workers' Compensation certificate.
   (d)    Plumbing, electrical and heating contractors shall be required to show proof that they are qualified to perform such work, as required by their respective trade. Plumbers and electricians shall provide the Building Department with copies of their registration from a recognized testing community or State agency, except that this requirement may be waived by the Director of Inspections, upon application in a manner prescribed by the Director, for work which meets all of the following criteria:
      (1)    The work consists of only minor electrical and/or plumbing connections;
      (2)    The work is incidental to and necessary for the completion of other work for which a permit has been issued;
      (3)    The work is performed only after notification to the Director of Inspections or his designee of the time and place the work is to be performed;
      (4)    The work is performed in the presence of the Director of Inspections or his designee or is otherwise made available for full inspection; and
      (5)    The work is performed by a person holding a special Type II permit issued by the Director of Inspections upon satisfactory proof that the person is qualified to perform such work, which permit shall be valid only for the work upon which application is made.
      (6)    The work is performed in accordance with all applicable codes.
   (e)    Federal I.D. number or social security number.
