509.08 CURFEW.
   (a)   No minor of an age indicated below shall loiter, idle, wander, stroll, play or be present in or upon public streets, highways, roads, alleys, parks, playgrounds or other public grounds, public places and public buildings, places of amusement and entertainment, drive-in restaurants, vacant lots or other lots or parcels of land which are not such minor's place of residence, or other unsupervised places within the City between the hours indicated below:
 
Up to and including age fifteen
11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following day; and
Age sixteen to and including age seventeen
1:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.
   (b)   The provisions of this section do not apply when the minor is accompanied by his parent, guardian or other adult person having the care and custody of the minor, or where the minor is upon an emergency errand or legitimate business directed by his parent, guardian or other adult person having the care and custody of the minor.
   (c)   In the event that any school, church, lodge or other organization within the City sponsors a function attended by minors within the age limitations set forth herein, and minors will be dismissed from such functions at an hour later than herein provided, such school, church, lodge or other organization shall first obtain the Mayor's approval to have such minors remain to the time when the entertainment or function will end. Minors attending such functions or entertainment shall be required to be at home and off the streets, sidewalks, public places, places of amusement and entertainment, drive-in restaurants, vacant lots or other lots or parcels of land which are not such minors' places of residence or other unsupervised places within the City within one hour after such entertainment or function has ended.
   (d)   No parent, guardian or other adult person having the care and custody of a minor under the age of eighteen years shall knowingly permit such minor to loiter, idle, wander, stroll, play or be present in or upon the public streets, highways, roads, alleys, parks, playgrounds or other public grounds, public places and public buildings, places of amusement and entertainment, drive-in restaurants, vacant lots or other lots or parcels of land not such minors' place of residence or other unsupervised places, between the hours set forth in subsection (a) hereof.
   The provisions of this section do not apply when the minor is accompanied by his parent, guardian or other adult person having the care and custody of the minor, or where the minor is upon an emergency errand or legitimate business directed by his parent, guardian or other adult person having the care and custody of the minor.

   (e)   Whoever violates any of the provisions of this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor. Minors in violation of any of the provisions of this section shall be dealt with in accordance with Juvenile Court law and procedure.
