(a) No person under the age of eighteen years and over the age of fourteen years shall be found in or upon the public streets, sidewalks, public highways or other public or private places where such person is not under the supervision of an adult, or be found upon a bicycle or a vehicle or in a public place of amusement or entertainment, vacant lot or other place, between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 4:30 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, or 12:01 a.m. to 4:30 a.m. Friday through Saturday; provided, however, that the provisions of this section shall not apply to such person when:
(1) Accompanied by a parent, guardian or other such responsible adult person having the legal care and custody of such minor person, or other responsible adult designated to have such care and custody of the said minor person; or
(2) Engaged upon an emergency errand or legitimate business at the direction of his parent, guardian, or other adult having the legal care and custody of such person, or other adult designated by the parent or guardian; or
(3) Attending a legitimate school, church or youth organization function or activity supervised by adults; or
(4) Returning to his home from such supervised function, or activity. Such person shall be permitted one hour from the time such function or activity shall have ended, to return to his home.
(b) No person under the age of fifteen years shall be found in or upon the public streets, sidewalks, public highways or other public or private places where such person is not under the supervision of an adult, or to be found upon a bicycle or in a vehicle or in a place of amusement or entertainment, vacant lot or other place, between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 4:30 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, or 10:00 p.m. and 4:30 a.m. Friday through Saturday; provided, however, that the provision of this section shall not apply to such person when:
(1) Accompanied by a parent, guardian or other such responsible adult person having the legal care and custody of such minor person, or other responsible adult designated to have such care and custody of the said minor person; or
(2) Engaged upon an emergency errand or legitimate business at the direction of his parent, guardian, or other adult having the legal care and custody of such person, or other adult designated by the parent or guardian; or
(3) Attending a legitimate school, church or youth organization function or activity supervised by adults; or
(4) Returning to his home from such supervised function, or activity. Such person shall be permitted one hour from the time such function or activity shall have ended, to return to his home.
(c) Any person under the age of eighteen years who violates the provisions of this section shall be apprehended and charged as being an unruly child and taken before the juvenile court in the county in which the violation occurred as provided in Ohio R.C. Chapter 2151. Any parent, guardian or other adult person having the care and custody of a minor, where said minor has been found to have violated this section two or more times, shall be guilty of a minor misdemeanor.
