(a) Upon receipt of a street vending permit application, payment and approval of the Director of Building, Planning and Zoning or his or her designee, the Village of West Jefferson shall grant to the applicant a permit as follows, unless:
(1) The applicant has been convicted of a crime which directly relates to the duties and responsibilities of the permitted activity which shall be determined by the nature and seriousness of the crime, the relationship of the crime to the purpose of the permit and the extent that the permit would allow the applicant to engage in further criminal activity;
(2) The required application information is incomplete or incorrect, or;
(3) The applicant has been found to be in violation of a previously issued permit as described in this Chapter.
(b) It shall be unlawful for any person to transfer a permit from one person to another.
(c) The Director of Building, Planning and Zoning or his or her designee may limit the number of permits issued under this Chapter.
(d) A permit may be revoked as a result of a violation of any provision of this Chapter or a violation of any laws or regulation of the Village of West Jefferson, State of Ohio, or Federal Government. (Ord. 21-011. Passed 2-17-21.)
