For the purpose of this chapter, the following words and terms shall have the following meanings:
(a) "Contractor" means any person, firm or corporation which builds, constructs, repairs, replaces, remodels, alters or otherwise improves any land or building, or any portion thereof, as a business for profit in the Village of West Jefferson.
• Demolition Contractor - Electrical Contractor - Excavating Contractor - Fencing Contractor - Fire Protection - General Contractor - HVAC Contractor - Insulation Contractor - Pool Installer - Plumber - Refrigeration Contractor - Roofing Contractor - Siding Contractor - Sign Erector Contractor - Steel Erectors.
(b) "General Contractor" means any person, firm or corporation, fitting the definition of contractor herein, who coordinates other contractors working on the same project.
(c) "Subcontractor" means any person, firm or corporation, fitting the definition of contractor herein, who performs a special skill, trade, craft or profession as a part of a construction contractor on behalf of a general contractor.
