Any person, firm, or corporation engaged in the business of trimming or removing public trees shall carry public liability and property damage insurance in an amount to be determined by the City Council, and policies or certificates thereof shall be filed with the City Clerk. They will also acquire and maintain a license from the city to perform tree work on trees in the rights-of-way or public locations. Such license shall be revocable for cause including, but not limited to, failure to maintain the required insurance, and shall terminate upon its stated date of expiration. Such license may be renewed pursuant to city policies provided the applicant has fully complied with all licensing terms and conditions.
