(A) Based upon recommendation of city staff, the City Council does hereby approve and adopt the 2018 International Building Code, the 2018 International Residential Code, the 2018 International Fire Code, the 2018 International Plumbing Code, the 2018 International Mechanical Code, and the 2018 International Gas Code, all of which are issued by the International Code Council, as may be amended from time to time. Subsequent versions of such codes shall be adopted by the city immediately upon their issuance and date of effect and shall not require readoption by the West Haven City Council.
(B) As part of the approval and adoption of the above-referenced codes, the City Council adopts all permit fee calculations and valuation tables included therein, and these shall be used by the city to calculate building permit fees and values.
(C) The City Council does hereby approve and adopt any future periodic amendments to the IBC valuation tables and permit fee formulas and shall utilize the IBC’s valuation tables and permit fee formulas existing on the date of an application for a building permit to calculate the city’s building permit fees and values for that building permit.
