(A) The normal workday is ten hours. The normal workweek is 40 hours. Employee work schedules will be made by each department in order to best meet the needs of the city, but will, absent specific authorization to the contrary, follow a four-day workweek and a ten-hour workday.
(B) City office hours will be 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
(C) Employees may take two rest breaks, not to exceed 15 minutes, during the normal working hours.
(D) Depending on departmental procedures, either one-half hour or one hour lunch breaks will be scheduled by individual department heads.
(E) Employees shall fill out time slips or punch a time clock as documentation for all hours worked, and to verify, and request, vacation and sick leave.
(F) An employee unable to report to duty on a workday shall notify the department head within 15 minutes of the beginning of the scheduled workday period.
