§ 91.095 IMPOUNDMENT AUTHORIZED.
   (A)   Animal Control shall place all animals taken into custody in a designated animal shelter.
   (B)   Animals may be taken into custody and impounded if:
      (1)   The animal is being kept or maintained contrary to municipal ordinances;
      (2)   The animal is a stray or running at large;
      (3)   Any dog not properly licensed as required by this chapter;
      (4)   Any dog that is not rabies vaccinated, or believed to not be rabies vaccinated;
      (5)   Any animal that is sick, diseased, or injured;
      (6)   The animal is abandoned or is neglected where the health and safety of the animal is at risk if it is not immediately placed into protective custody;
      (7)   Any animal needing to be held for quarantine;
      (8)   Any animal that is pending a determination of being a potentially dangerous or dangerous animal, as provided by this chapter;
      (9)   Any animal determined to be a nuisance animal; and
      (10)   Any animal in the custody of any person or persons being arrested or detained by any law enforcement officer.
