§ 91.017 DUTIES OF ANIMAL CONTROL.
   Animal Control, and any officer of the same, is hereby vested with the power and authority to carry out the purpose of this chapter, and to:
   (A)   Issue dog licenses;
   (B)   Issue licenses for an animal boarding establishment after receipt of approval that may be required by the city;
   (C)   Issue citations for violations of this chapter;
   (D)   Issue a determination relating to a potentially dangerous animal or dangerous animal, apply reasonable restrictions to the same, and monitor such animal as necessary to protect life and property;
   (E)   Conduct inspections relating to Animal Control;
   (F)   Seek and bring proceedings for the abatement of certain animals as provided by law or regulation;
   (G)   Apprehend, restrain, impound, and/or quarantine any animal found in violation of law or that constitutes a nuisance;
   (H)   Advise the city on issues relating to animals;
   (I)   Administer state and local law relating to animals; and
   (J)   Administer the provisions of this chapter.
