(A) Individuals making expenditures, or approving expenditures made, in violation of this chapter may be held personally responsible for full reimbursement of the purchase or expenditure and may receive disciplinary action up to and including dismissal. Elected officials will be subject to penalties in accordance with state law.
(B) (1) All individuals expending funds under the authority of this chapter shall receive annual training to ensure they understand their authority, limits of their authority, and responsibilities.
(2) All such individuals shall sign a statement indicating they have received appropriate training and understand the training. Signed statements will be kept on file with the purchasing agent.
