§ 130.01 PROHIBITION OF USE OF FIREARMS WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY.
   (A)   This section shall apply to all areas within the corporate boundaries of the city.
   (B)   It is hereby unlawful for any person, to discharge a firearm as defined by I.C. 35-47-1-5 within the corporate boundaries of the city.
   (C)   Any person who violates this section shall be subject to the penalties provided for by the state for a Class C infraction.
   (D)   This section shall not affect the use of firearms which have legally been approved for such use in areas designated for use of firearms or as otherwise approved by the Police Department.
   (E)   This section shall not prohibit the reasonable use of firearms in the protection of persons or property, including the protection of livestock or farm animals in an area zoned for agriculture use.
