(A) The city’s Fire Department, Fire and Life Safety Division shall perform a review of all pertinent site plans, building plans (construction), fire protection system plans and specifications including sprinkler, fire alarm systems and hood suppression systems of any project within the boundaries of the city’s Fire Department, in order to determine whether such plans and specifications comply with the applicable rules of the Commission, this chapter and any other codes, standards or rules that may apply.
(B) Separate review and permits shall be required for fire protection systems based on the fire protection permit standards in this chapter.
(1) Plans shall be submitted to the city’s Fire Department, Fire and Life Safety Division in a digital format and have available at the city’s Building and Planning Departments traditional 24 inches by 36 inches paper form.
(2) Fire Department plan review shall occur at the following phases: site plan; construction plan; and fire protection systems plan. This review shall run concurrent to the city plan review and any issues or corrections that need to be made to the plans shall be completed by the developer prior to the approval of the city’s Planning and Building Department and the city’s Fire Department. No city or City Fire Department approvals or permits shall be given or issued until review as provided herein and compliance has occurred.
