1464.07 INSPECTIONS; NOTICES OF VIOLATION; TIME LIMIT FOR CORRECTION.
   (a)   The Building Inspector shall have concurrent jurisdiction with the Fire Chief to inspect the installation of any carbon monoxide detector required to be installed by this chapter.
   (b)   Any deputy building inspector or certified fire safety inspector, who, upon inspection of any premises as to which the owner is required to maintain carbon monoxide detectors pursuant to this chapter, finds a violation of this chapter, shall immediately issue a notice of violation to the owner of such premises requiring him or her to comply with this chapter within a reasonable time, not to exceed seven days. Upon failure to comply with such notice of violation within seven days of the issuance thereof, the deputy building inspector or fire inspector shall present the matter to the Village Solicitor for criminal proceedings according to law.
