660.16 EXTERIOR RESIDENTIAL DECORATIONS.
   (a)   No person occupying a residential property shall permit or maintain electrified decorations on the exterior of any building or structure for a period in excess of 60 consecutive days, unless:
      (1)   The electrical decorations are rated by a recognized testing laboratory as suitable for permanent exterior installation; and
      (2)   The electrical decorations are permanently installed or attached to the building or structure in a manner that will not cause abrasion of wiring or electrical components; and
      (3)   The electrical decorations are installed by a licensed electrician after obtaining an electrical wiring permit from the County of Medina.
   (b)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor and shall be subject to the penalty provided for in Section 698.02 for each offense. A separate offense shall be deemed committed each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues to occur. In addition, the offender will be required to remove the electrical decorations at their cost or the Village may issue an order to remove the electrical decorations at the cost of the offender.
