8-5-6: WATER SUPPLY:
   A.   Water Supply Emergency: The president or the village manager is duly authorized, if he or she should find and determine that a water supply shortage exists in the village, to meet the health, sanitary, safety, fire protection and public welfare needs of the village and its citizens, to declare that a water supply emergency exists and to prohibit or restrict the drawing of water from the water supply lines of the village or use of such water for any of the following purposes during such emergency period:
      1.   Sprinkling or irrigation of lawns and gardens.
      2.   Car washing.
      3.   Air conditioning or cooling.
      4.   Commercial or industrial uses beyond requirements for sanitation or preserving health.
      5.   Any other use that is not directly connected with the preservation of health, sanitation, safety or public welfare. (Ord. 03-2233, 4-21-2003)
