8-5-5: IMPURE WATER:
   A.   Authority To Establish Rules And Regulations: The department of code enforcement shall have the power to make such rules for the handling, storing, delivery and inspection of water to be sold for domestic use as shall from time to time be necessary to prevent the distribution, for domestic purposes, of any impure water or water that is contaminated either chemically or bacterially. Any refusal or neglect to obey such lawful rule shall be punishable as a violation of this chapter.
   B.   Compliance With State Requirements: No water shall be sold or offered for sale for drinking or other domestic purposes which does not conform to the standards prescribed by the Illinois department of public health. (Ord. 03-2233, 4-21-2003)
