Except as provided in section 6-2-3 of this chapter, it shall be unlawful for any person under the age of seventeen (17) years to be upon any public way in the village or in restaurants, drive-ins, taverns and other places of amusement, within the village catering to the general public, or on any private property within the village, without direct knowledge and approval of his parents or guardian, between the hours of twelve o'clock (12:00) midnight Friday and six o'clock (6:00) A.M. Saturday, twelve (12:00) midnight Saturday and six o'clock (6:00) A.M. Sunday or between the hours of eleven o'clock (11:00) P.M. and six o'clock (6:00) A.M. on any other day of the week.
