The city will diversify the use of investment instruments to avoid incurring unreasonable risks inherent in over-investing in specific instruments, individual financial institutions or maturities. With the following exceptions no more than 50% of the city's total investment portfolio will be invested in a single security type or with a single financial institution:
(A) United States Treasury Securities;
(B) United States Government Agency Securities and Instrumentalities of Government Sponsored Corporations, the principal and interest of which are unconditionally guaranteed by the United States;
(C) Fully Collateralized Certificate of Deposit; and
(D) State Treasury Asset Reserve of Ohio. (Ord. 2973, passed 4-11-95)
