For the purpose of this chapter, the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
HOME SALES. The sale of, display for sale of, or advertisement for sale of personal property to the general public or a member or members of the general public, with the activity located on or conducted on any portion of a residential premises or other residential tract of real estate within the village, including, but not to be limited to, garage sales, yard sales, porch sales, patio sales, garden sales, or sales of an individual item or items, and the like, but not including personal property with a title recorded with the Clerk of Courts such as boats, cars, recreational vehicles, manufactured homes, and the like, and also not including personal property at retail or other business establishments located on residential tracts of real estate.
