§ 39.01 GENERALLY.
   (A)   The general operation of the Mayor’s Court shall be handled by a Magistrate and a Clerk of Courts. The Magistrate shall receive a stipend of $500 per month and the Clerk of Courts shall receive a stipend of $400 per month, with the compensation for said positions being subject to amendment as the Village Council may from time to time determine by Motion of said legislative body. The Magistrate and Clerk of Courts shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Village Council.
   (B)   The Magistrate shall be the regular judicial officer of Mayor’s Court and the Clerk of Courts shall be the record keeping officer of the Mayor’s Court, and they shall have all powers and duties as prescribed by Ohio law for Mayor’s Courts.
   (C)   The Village Mayor, with the advice and consent of the Village Council, may remove and/or change either the Magistrate or the Clerk of Courts, with or without cause, upon giving either of them 30 days’ written notice.
   (D)   The Village Council authorizes the use of a part of the Village Towne Hall, at 16 North Main Street, West Alexandria, Ohio, 45381, to be the initial location of the Mayor’s Court, with such location being subject to change at the Village Council’s discretion, as it may from time to time determine by motion of said legislative body.
