§ 154.050 ESTABLISHMENT.
   The Village Council shall establish a Village Planning Commission of five members, consisting of the Mayor, one member of the Village Council and three citizens of the Village of West Alexandria to be appointed by the Mayor. The terms of the citizen members shall be six years in length and so arranged that one of the terms of each of the citizen members will expire every two years. Each member shall serve until his or her successor is appointed and qualified. Members of the Village Planning Commission may be removable for nonperformance of duty, misconduct in office or other cause by the Village Council, upon written charges being filed with the Village Council, after a public hearing has been held regarding such charges, and after a copy of the charges has been served upon the member so charged at least ten days prior to the hearing, either personally, by registered mail, or by leaving such copy at his or her usual place of residence. The member shall be given an opportunity to be heard and answer such charges. Vacancies shall be filled by the Village Council and shall be for the unexpired term.
