§ 154.003 AREA OF JURISDICTION.
   (A)   Incorporated area. The provisions of these zoning regulations shall apply to all land within the incorporated area of the Village of West Alexandria, Ohio.
   (B)   Newly annexed area. The provisions of these zoning regulations shall not apply to any newly annexed land to the Village of West Alexandria until an ordinance is passed establishing the zoning district or districts for such land. Until such ordinance is passed, such property shall be subject to the existing Preble County Zoning Resolution or township zoning resolution, as applicable.
   (C)   Planning Commission to initiate rezoning of annexed area. Within 30 days of the annexation, the Village Planning Commission shall recommend a zoning district map amendment to establish the zoning district classification of such land. Action shall be taken by the Village Council regarding the classification of annexed land within 60 days of its receipt of the amendment from the Village Planning Commission.
   (D)   Development prohibited prior to rezoning. On land hereafter annexed to or consolidated with the Village of West Alexandria, no building or structure shall be erected, enlarged or moved and no change in the use of land or existing buildings of structures shall be made until an ordinance designating the zoning district classification of such annexed land is duly adopted by Village Council.
