At least one copy of the International One and Two Family Dwelling Code, as adopted in § 150.040, is on file with the Village Fiscal Officer for inspection by the public. At least one copy is also on file in the County Law Library. In addition, the Village Fiscal Officer has copies available for distribution to the public, at cost.

In the event of a conflict between any of the provisions of the International One and Two Family Dwelling Code, as adopted in § 150.040, and a provision of any other standard technical code adopted by the village, the stricter standard shall prevail. In the event of a conflict between any of the provisions of the International One and Two Family Dwelling Code and any local ordinance, resolution, rule or regulation, the local ordinance, resolution, rule or regulation shall control.

RESIDENTIAL CODE OF OHIO
(A) The Village of West Alexandria, Ohio, hereby adopts by reference the Residential Code of Ohio aka Residential Code of Ohio for One, Two, and Three Family Dwellings and/or the Preble County Building Code to regulate the construction and maintenance of all structures within the guidelines of the Codes within the village.
(B) Any regulations contained in the Codes shall be additional to other regulations contained under other ordinances and/or other applicable law.
(C) The adoption by reference shall include all future amendments or changes in the Codes.

The schedule of fees for building and/or other permits contained in the Codes are hereby adopted and are payable in their entirety to the Preble County Building Regulations Department and/or the Preble County Building Regulations Director.

The Preble County Building Regulations Department and/or the Preble County Building Regulations Director is hereby relieved of any liability arising from the performance of its or his or her duties as set forth in the Codes while performing them within the village.
