6-1-2: DEFINITIONS:
Unless the context otherwise requires, all references in the traffic code to:
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY OF THE STATE OF UTAH: The chief of police of the city or his agent.
LOCAL AUTHORITIES: The governing body of the city.
MAGISTRATE: The justice of the peace or judge of the city.
STATE ROAD COMMISSION OR STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION: The city and its officers, departments, agencies and agents. (1991 Code § 10.04.020, as amended)
