Any child past the age of 16 years who has a working certificate and whose work may require him or her to be out at hours later than those specified in this subchapter may make application in writing to the Mayor or Chief of Police for written permission, and shall have such permission on his or her person when out later than allowed in this code. When such permission is granted a child, he or she shall not be out later than one-half hour beyond the time that said child’s work ends.
