§ 117.21 SOLICITING PASSENGERS.
   No driver of any taxicab, nor any other person, while on the public streets of the village or any other public place, shall solicit patrons or passengers for such taxicab in any way other than in an ordinary tone of voice or by the display of a sign attached to his or her taxicab. Such sign shall not be more than a rectangle 16 inches long and six inches high. No driver of any taxicab nor any other person shall solicit patrons or passengers for such taxicab when more than five feet away from his or her taxicab. No driver shall seek or solicit employment by repeatedly or persistently driving his or her taxicab to and from any theater, hotel, motel, railway station, or other place of public ingress or egress.
