§ 76.37 CREATION AND REGULATION OF HANDICAPPED AND RESERVED PARKING.
   (A)   There is hereby authorized the creation of special handicapped parking spaces, in addition to those locations required by R.C. § 4511.69, on the streets within the village, as determined by the Administrator.
   (B)   Applications for special handicapped parking spaces shall be submitted to the Office of the Administrator, on forms provided by said office. The Administrator shall require proof of disability by requiring presentment of a handicapped parking card or, where the handicapped person owns a motor vehicle, presentment of registration of the motor vehicle which displays the special handicapped license plates, as provided in R.C. § 4503.44.
   (C)   Upon the granting of any application submitted pursuant to division (B) of this section, the Administrator shall cause to be erected appropriate signs designating the subject location or locations as being reserved for handicapped parking only.
   (D)   There is further authorized the creation of temporary reserved parking spaces on the streets within the village, as determined by the Administrator. Such temporary reserved parking spaces shall be provided only for those persons suffering from a temporary medical illness which prohibits them from walking long distances without difficulty, and only for a maximum of 90 days.
   (E)   Applications for temporary reserved parking spaces shall be submitted to the Office of the Administrator, on forms provided by said office. The Administrator shall require proof of temporary medical illness or disability by requiring presentment of a signed statement from the applicant’s personal physician certifying the condition of the applicant and the need for the temporary reserved parking space.
   (F)   Upon the granting of any application submitted pursuant to division (E) of this section, the Administrator shall cause to be erected appropriate signs designating the subject location or locations as being reserved.
   (G)   Any unauthorized person parking in or obstructing any locations marked with signs as provided in divisions (C) and (F) of this section shall be guilty of a minor misdemeanor.
