(A) There is hereby established a new full-time police officer position within the Police Department, for special purposes only as defined hereinafter. The position shall be known as the Drug Task Force Officer or DTF Officer.
(B) The DTF Officer shall be assigned exclusively to the County DTF and for no other purpose.
(C) The wages and other conditions of the DTF Officer shall be established by separate ordinance. The DTF Officer shall be subject to all applicable rules, regulations, policies, resolutions, and ordinances of the village and the Police Department, as now in effect and as may be hereafter amended, except as may be otherwise provided for herein.
(D) There is hereby established an annual clothing allowance for the DTF Officer in the amount of $150.
(D) The primary source of funding for the DTF Officer position shall be the monies offered to the village by the Board of Commissioners. In the event that such funding should be reduced or eliminated in the future, Council shall re-evaluate, at that time, whether the village is financially capable of continuing its participation in the DTF.
