§ 72.042 PROCESSING AND PARADES; PERMIT REQUIRED.
   (A)   Processing and parades; permit required.
      (1)   Funeral or other processions and parades shall not be conducted without having first procured a written permit from the Chief of Police, designating the date, time, and exact route and direction of march or travel for which permit is allowed.
      (2)   It shall be unlawful or any person to conduct or participate in any procession or parade in violation of this section; except that the provisions hereof shall not apply to the marching or maneuvering of members of the military forces of the United States, or forces of the Police or Fire Department in the interest of public safety.
   (B)   Identification required. Every funeral procession composed of motor vehicles shall carry such conspicuous identification of its character as may be required by the traffic division of the Police Department in the interest of public safety.
   (C)   Unlawful to break. It shall be unlawful to interrupt or break into the free and continuous passage of a funeral procession by walking or driving a vehicle between the vehicles composing said procession while the same is in motion, unless otherwise directed by a police officer.
   (D)   Use of right side of street. Funeral processions and each vehicle comprising the same, shall at all times be kept as near to the right curb of the roadway as is practicable.
