§ 75.11 SKATEBOARDS, ROLLER BLADES, SCOOTERS AND THE LIKE.
   (A)   No person shall ride a skateboards, transport themselves by roller blades, or roller skates, ride a non-motorized or motorized scooter, or ride or operate a like instrument, on any city streets. For purposes of this section, motorized scooters that are properly licensed as a motorized vehicle, motorcycle or motorized bicycle are not prohibited.
   (B)   The use of skateboards, roller blades, roller skates, non-motorized scooters or like instruments is strictly prohibited in the city’s business district, which is hereby designated as the business area of Michigan Avenue to New York Avenue and Third Street to B Street. All public streets, alleys and sidewalks in this area shall constitute the city business district.
   (C)   No person shall ride a skateboard, transport themselves by roller blades or roller skates, ride a non-motorized or motorized scooter, or ride or operate a like instrument, in public areas.
   (D)   Any person who is riding a skateboard, riding a non-motorized or motorized scooter or riding or operating a like instrument, shall dismount such instalment at all public intersections and walk across such intersection.
   (E)   No person shall ride a skateboard, transport themselves by roller blades or roller skates, ride a non-motorized or motorized scooter, or ride or operate a like instrument, after sunset or before sunrise.
   (F)   Bicycles and tricycles obeying the current traffic law are specifically excluded and exempt from the provisions or this section.
   (G)   Whosoever violates any provision of this section shall be guilty of a minor misdemeanor. Second violation within one year of any provision of this section shall be a fourth degree misdemeanor.
