§ 30.05 BONDS.
   (A)   The following officers and no other shall execute, prior to entering upon the performance of their official duties, individual bonds, in not less than the amount set forth opposite the title of their respective offices:
      (1)   City Treasurer: $10,000; and
      (2)   City Auditor: $3,000.
   (B)   The following officers and employees and no others may be covered by a blanket bond purchased by the city in such sum as may from time to time be fixed by Council, indemnifying and holding the city harmless against loss occasioned by the failure of such officers and employees to faithfully perform their respective duties:
      (1)   Assistant City Clerk;
      (2)   City Clerk;
      (3)   Director of Public Safety and Service;
      (4)   Law Director; and
      (5)   Mayor.
   (C)   All officers and employees of the city, except those specified in divisions (A) and (B) above may be covered by a blanket bond in such amount as may from time to time be fixed by Council indemnifying and holding the city harmless against loss occasioned by embezzlement or any other dishonest act.
   (D)   Each bond, except that of the City Auditor, upon its approval, shall be delivered to the Auditor, who shall immediately record it in a record provided for that purpose and file and carefully preserve it in his or her office. The bond of the Auditor shall be delivered to the Treasurer who shall record and preserve it in like manner.
