§ 152.34 STREET GRADES, CURVES AND SIGHT DISTANCES.
   (A)   The grades of streets shall be not less than 0.5% and shall not exceed the following:
      (1)   Highways and primary thoroughfares, shown as such on the official Thoroughfare Plan: 6%;
      (2)   Secondary thoroughfares, parkways, collector streets, local streets, minor streets, service drives and alleys: 8%; and
      (3)   Pedestrian ways or crosswalks: 20% unless steps of an acceptable design are to be constructed.
   (B)   All changes in street grades above 1% shall be connected by vertical curves of a minimum length equal to 15 times the algebraic difference in the rate of grade for highways, thoroughfares and parkways, and one-half of this minimum for all other streets.
   (C)   The radii of curvature on the centerline shall not be less than the following:
      (1)   Highways, thoroughfares and parkways: 400 feet; and
      (2)   Local streets, collector streets, minor streets and service drives: 100 feet.
