7-1-3: OFFENSES AGAINST THE PERSON:

A. Assault: It shall be unlawful for any person to make an unlawful attempt, coupled with the present ability, to commit a violent injury upon the person of another.

B. Battery: It shall be unlawful for any person to wilfully and unlawfully use force or violence upon the person of another. (Ord. 99, 6-8-1976)
