Any person who violates any provision of this chapter or of this code, as amended by ordinance, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and, upon conviction, shall be punished by a fine not to exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) or by imprisonment for a term not to exceed six (6) months, or by both fine and imprisonment.
