(A) All persons taking water shall keep the hydrant, tap, hose, water closet, urinals, bath, or other fixtures and connections allotted to their use closed except when obtaining water for use, and all other closets must be self closing.
(B) Water used through pipes intended to supply 2 or more distinct promises or tenements, and where only 1 tap is used, shall be paid for by the person having the same under control.
(C) No hose shall be used except by permission of the Council and the same shall not exceed 3/4 of an inch in diameter, and shall be then used with a nozzle which shall not exceed 1/4 of an inch in diameter unless especially permitted so to do by the Council.
(D) Hose for sprinkling yards, gardens, and streets shall be used only between the first day of April and the first day of November and not then except between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. If allowed to run at any other time, the water shall be cut off without previous notice, and the same must be used for the purposes with as little waste as possible and upon the premises of the party only. This division (D) does not apply to market gardens, nurseries, and greenhouses but water will be charged for at special rates for the purposes.
(E) Proprietors of lumber yards, manufactories, halls, stores, elevators, warehouses, hotels, and other public buildings, who are regular consumers of water wishing to lay large pipes, with hydrant and hose couplings, to be used only in case of fire will, upon application be permitted to connect with the street mains at their own expense and will be allowed the use of water free of charge for fire purposes.
