§ 94.10 PURPOSE.
   This subchapter regulates the use of external solid fuel-fired heating devices designed so that usable heat is derived for the interior of a building. A building permit is required for any external solid fuel-fired heating device or external storage unit. All outdoor external solid fuel-fired heating devices are subject to public nuisance. The exhaust stacks or chimneys must be constructed according to the manufacturers specifications and must be a minimum of 25 feet above ground level, and must be masonry or insulated metal with a minimum 6 inch internal flue diameter. Only clean fuel solids may be burned, or stored for burning in the device.
