(A) Each building within the corporate limits of the town shall display a house number, of a size and contrasting color that it can be easily distinguished.
(B) The duty to display the number shall be on the owner of the property, and it shall be the duty of the owner not only to put the number in place, but to maintain the same in the manner set forth in division (A) above. In the event that there is any building in the town that does not have a number, a number will be assigned by the Building Inspector of the town, in compliance with this section and with existing postal regulations which require numbers on all buildings where mail is delivered.
(C) It shall be unlawful for any property owner to allow his or her building to be without a number as herein prescribed after the effective date of this section. Any person convicted of violation of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and punished in the discretion of the court.
