§ 92.26  AUTHORITY AT FIRES.
   (A)   The Chief of the Fire Department or his or her designated agent shall be the officer in command at the scene of a fire, and his or her commands shall be promptly obeyed.
   (B)   The officer in command shall have authority to summon aid, and no citizen so summoned may refuse help in extinguishing the fire or in protecting exposed property.
   (C)   During the continuance of a fire the Fire Chief, his or her assistant or the Mayor shall have authority to call upon any citizen to render assistance in pulling down or demolishing any building or in removing goods or furniture from a building on fire or in danger of fire. No building may be pulled down or in any way destroyed by anyone without the advice and consent of the majority of the members of the Board of Commissioners as may be present, or if none are present, without the consent of the officer of the Fire Department or the Police Department who may be in charge.
   (D)   In the event of an alarm of fire, the apparatus of the Fire Department responding to the alarm shall have the right-of-way in and upon all streets, lanes, alleys, squares and railroad crossings.
