§ 72.26  STOP BEFORE ENTERING STOP INTERSECTION.
   When stop signs are placed upon highways which intersect a through street, as designated on the official traffic maps, every driver shall bring his or her vehicle to a stop before entering the intersection, and he or she shall not proceed into or across the through street until he or she has first determined that no conflict with traffic will ensue.
