§ 37.02  UNIFORMS.
   (A)   The Chief of Police and other police officers shall, when on duty, wear uniforms as shall be prescribed by the Board of Commissioners, and shall keep the same in a neat condition.
   (B)   Upon discharge, resignation or dismissal, the Police Chief and other police officers shall surrender the uniforms, when the same shall have been purchased by the town for their use.
   (C)   The Chief of Police shall see that the force presents a neat and respectable appearance.
   (D)   Any member of the police force designated or employed for emergency, limited or special duty, or anyone working generally as a detective or doing detective work, need not be clad in a uniform unless specifically so directed by the Chief of Police.
